A senior-led practice, with a team of specialists.
Mesura Partners is a CFO practice based in Dubai. Charif Takieddine founded it and leads every engagement. He has been the owner, and he has been the investor across the table.
The practice
Mesura Partners is based in Dubai and works with companies in the MENA region, Europe and the US, in person or fully remote, in English, French, Arabic and Spanish.
Between us, we have worked across MENA, Europe, North America and Singapore.
The team
Charif leads every engagement and answers for the work. Around him is a team of specialists:
- CFOs who can lead or co-lead a workstream, or bring a particular industry or skill.
- A transaction (M&A) lead, for the numbers and the diligence on a purchase or a sale.
- Analysts, who build the models, the packs and the finance documents for the data room.
- An accounting team, which runs the month-end under our direction.
The founder
The owner
He has built and run two businesses of his own, one in manufacturing and one in food and beverage, and scaled them. He knows how to weigh the risk of entering a new market or buying a business.
He has hired and he has let people go. He knows the sleepless night when payroll isn’t covered. When he puts a number in front of an owner, he knows what it costs to act on it.
The investor
For twelve years he invested for family offices: private companies, listed companies, property. He was the one reading the pack and asking the questions.
Since 2013 he has sat on the board of a family-owned regional takaful (Islamic insurance) company.
The CFO
As an investor and as a CFO, he has looked at more than 800 businesses across dozens of industries. After that many, the patterns show early.
His CFO work alone has covered restaurant groups, manufacturers, a logistics group, retail, direct-to-consumer brands and the fund that owns them, telehealth, medical services, construction, B2B services and software.
His CFO work has included acquisitions and other deals, ongoing CFO roles, and finance teams rebuilt: new people where needed, better processes, and a month that closes faster.
Family businesses
He has worked with family businesses from both sides: as their CFO, and as an investor.
- “We have several companies and no single view of them.”
- “Which of our companies should get the next investment?”
- “The family wants a dividend. The business wants to reinvest.”
- “The family takes what it needs from the company. Is that a problem?”
We work for the company, with the person who decides.
